Ya, it's been awhile

Been busy with school, I start my last quarter tonight.. whoo hoo!
I had a two week break and started another sweater, it might look a little familiar since I did it in black about two years ago, I am loving it in red!

a quick update

so a quick update...my nephew, Anthony, died early last month, i attended his funeral at the end of august, got a mini vacation for four days with no kids or husband. I did get some knitting done while i was there due to having no school that week..i got the back and front of my sweater done and have started the sleaves. School is going great. I start the fourth of eight quarters on wed..and so far have gotten straight A's(highest honors) every quarter..I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!

Not Knitting

I know, it's not knitting content... but I have absolutely no time to knit at the moment. However I must show off my accomplishment!!! This was last quarter. At the moment we have 3 weeks left in this quarter and I have 97% in Math, 98% in Drafting and 98% in Auto CAD. I am so excited and proud that I am doing so well :) :)

Still Alive

So christmas is over... hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.. kids had a great time, santa came through for them for sure lol I even got the yarn for my new sweater from my wonderful mother in law :) School starts up again for me on monday so I have been knitting away as fast as I can so I can have most of it done by then and just focus on school.. here is what I have gotten done so far, the front and back stop at the chest and then you knit a sideways piece that is connected to it then you pick up stiches and work the rest of the top.. front bottom done, back bottom halfway done. picture sucks, but it was done on my cell so I will forgive it:)

I am doing it in Knitpicks Cotlin in moroccan red.. i just love it and CANNOT wait to wear it lol

Happy Holidays everyone, hope you all have a safe and festive one. I finished my sweater, can't find my camera to take a pic, but it fits great and I love it.. can only wear it for like 5 mins cuz it so warm! I start school on wed, I am really excited. Eryka was named student of the quarter, and got honor roll.. I am so proud of her and its her first year of middle school!! She is learning that hard work does pay off lol

I love Halloween, It is one of the only days that you can dress like this and get away with it.. especially if your not a size 2 LOL... and of course I had to inlist my husband to draw a tatoo on my chest! I only had one guy with enough balls to comment on the tat... since in order to do that you had to make it known you were looking at my chest lol which of course you cant miss lol...

anyways we had a ball, we took the kids to the mall..(note to self, dont do that again) that was a zoo and a half, then we went to the neighbors house and said trick or treat and congrats since they got married at midnight. Trysten was a pirate (and insisted i be one also) Jayda was a flower in the morning, then a bee at night, Bryce was a pumpkin, wyatt put on the flower head band from Jayda's earlier costume lol, Eryka was with her dad, she told me she was going to be a dead cheerleader (wonder how that went lol)

on the knitting front.. I have the front and back of cable sweater done, working on the sleaves. So my goal of having it done for thanksgiving looks good. I have orientation for college in a couple of weeks, I am getting really excited

so I got my other socks done, but forgot to take a pic of them (yep i'm losing my mind)
I saw this sweater in the interweave magazine on page 39... it just cried out"MAKE ME" its one of those "you will live in it" comfy sweaters just for the cold weather....
So I decide I will hurry up with all the socks and then make it lol well, I couldn't wait so I started it last week I think... and OMG im in heaven!! the camera didn't take a great pic.. the color of the yarn is coal, so its much darker than it appears here, but isn't it fun????

on another note.. I am going back to school! I will hopefully start on Dec 3rd, just have to do the finacial aid thingy.. I took the timed entrance test and I did.. and this is a quote from the test giver, "exeptionally well" and she looked shocked lol so I feel great about it :)

oh and I started on my husbands socks.. hes quite boring so its just 2x2 rib.. so much for his artistic creativity lol guess he won't wear creative but has no problem doing creative

another one down

another pair down, 4 to go lol.. i got this yarn on sat when I went to knitting group.. I had a ball!! I don't make it down there much since we moved out to boonyville, I miss everyone in the group, I bought some tofutsie yarn, I just love it love it love it. the next pair is in knit picks essential multi colored with teal, blue and purple, got about five rows on it so far.

I am now the vice president of the parent group for Eryka's middle school, like I need some more things to do lol(but i love it and like being involved in all the school stuff so i know whats going on), I am also doing the box tops for Trysten and Eryka's schools, its a little hectic with two in school, I just keep telling myself how much more fun it will be when all 4 are in lol

two down two to go

so I quit my job, and we went camping two weekends in a row.. kids had a ball, the first night Jayda (3) says she wants to go home, Trysten (5) wants to go home and watch a movie then come back lol. then we went on labor day weekend.. got home monday, did laundry all day..
Eryka had her first day of middle school, she loves it. Trysten had his first day of kindergarten!!! Isn't he big!! he LOVES the bus and his teacher.. so all is good at the moment

and another

here are the socks that I made for my moms boyfriend. My husband had to try them on about ten times so I could make sure they would fit lol... such big feet! He called me to tell me "I'm never taking them off.. I feel like i have nothing on " lmao.. guess he likes em.. he even paid me for making them!

I finished the interlac socks I was working on, I gave them to my daughters step mom for her birthday, she was admiring them while she was in labor with her son, so I felt it fitting to give them to her :)

busy weekend

OK so needless to say it was a long weekend, we had grandmothers parties.. yep there were three, two on Saturday and one on Sunday which just happened to be my anniversary.. on Friday.. after being induced Thursday afternoon.. Heather, my oldest daughter's (eryka)step mom had a c-section and had her baby around 8:30am..
He is 11 lbs 10 oz 22inches long... sooo cute! CONGRATS HEATHER AND KYLE!!

so I went to my grandmothers 80th birthday party on saturday.. it was like a family reunion... there were 98 people for lunch at anthonys homeport in edmonds, I knew about 30 of them.. and about 80 of them knew me.. isnt that fun? lol my mother told everyone about the socks i made and i had this one with me.. now I have 5 orders for the socks lol.. see, I quit my job, now I have a new one lol knitting socks!

So baby Bryce has turned 1 and Eryka has turned 11 both on July 3rd, It went better than I thought it would since Eryka is not impressed about the "sharing the same birthday"

Koolaid anyone?

I learned how to dye yarn with koolaid, I used "blue raspberry lemonade" and "cherry"

so I know this is a bad phrase in the summer, but I have started my "xmas presents" since I will not have time to finish them this fall. I made really long socks with a skull lace pattern on them and the foot does a "Flip Flop" shoe thing.. going between the big toe..my twin is just going to LOVE them!!!
