HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Welcome to Christmas time... LOL Had a nasty wind storm on Thursday, the worst since 93 I guess, and lucky us we were driving in it. I have been working overnights at toys r us since thanksgiving, I know I have a husband LOL but I see him sleeping when I get home at 5am (he leaves at 5:30) and when he gets home, I promptly leave to go to work.. Not getting much sleep since all the kids are up by 7. I just keep telling myself it will be over when xmas is LOL.. So needless to say I have gotten NO knitting done.

Our family was picked for a xmas food basket and presents for the kids, Not sure why since I do not know anyone here yet, so we weren't nominated, but I am soo thankful for it, I have been trying for weeks to find a organization that would take up my sisters kids for xmas, so its probably Karma since I was so busy trying to make them happy for the holidays that I totally didn't think of how to make mine happy LOL
I am sooo grateful, and I just can't say thank you enough to them.

Jayda just had a birthday on sat, she turned 3, she wanted a Dora birthday but of course mom couldn't get the stuff for that until after she got her check LOL which was too late because no party store is open at 4am. But she was happy anyways, my friend got her the Baby Alive and she just loves it.. She was not too impressed with the new tickle me elmo that I got her LOL oh well, my son loves it (shoulda saved it for him for xmas)

So I'm off to take a quick nap since my oldest is home, and then off to work.. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday!!!

Tis the season

Tis the season for snow! we had about 5 inches yesterday and got more today and its still snowing.. here are some pics of the kids in the snow (minus the baby lol)

Clean up has begun

here are some pics of our front yard LOL luckily they gave us waivers for the dump so we could take it away, was about to get very expensive :) now that the garage is empty, the mud slinging will begin LOL

for now, I'm going to go knit some of the stress away :)

When it rains it apparently floods

so as most anyone in Washington knows.. EVERYONE by a river got flooded.. And of course our NEW house was no exception... We live by the south fork of the stillaguamish river and it rose to just under 23 feet on Monday, hence we got 2 1/2 Ft in the garage (we get lucky, the house sits on top of the garage, so its 12 Ft off the ground) but on the bad side... Half our apartment was still down there :(

Oh well, live and learn.. So Wyatt and I spent the day flinging mud at each other while packing up all the destroyed stuff into garbage bags (around 40) and I just wanted to cry out "You know your a redneck when all your belongings are in the front yard" every time I put another deposit into the pile of trashed stuff LOL.. I will take a pic of that in the morning, but for now here is a pic of my neighbors (exact house just next door) and our garage with 2 inches of clay like mud.

Happy Halloween

happy Halloween.. Kids had a ball running around for four days in their costumes.. If anything they have new dress up clothes LOL They didn't get to go trick or treating since I had to work that night and hubby was too tired to go out in the cold night with three kids 4 and under LOL I really don't blame him.. Oldest one goes with her dad, unfortunately I do not have a pic of her in her costume, but she was "Scream"

So I woke up this morning to cold and rainy weather... made my usual call to my twin sister and i said to her.."my pal sent the scarf last week, maybe I will get it today, its the perfect day for it" Of course I thought it was wishful thinking... So I go check the mail (this is usually reserved for my daughter when she gets home from school cuz I'm too lazy lol) and theres a package SHOVED into my box lol... I was sooo excited and couldn't open it until I got my twin on the phone. Of course, me being one who NEVER payed attention in geogrophy class.. asked her without saying hello "where is singapore" LMAO she didnt know either lol... anyways Out I pulled a sheet of smiley stickers (LOVE THEM) and a ziploc of candy for the kids!! ( I think they are as excited as I am) and then the scarf!!!! it is absolutley BEAUTIFUL!! Deep red (fav color) the rib cable thingy she did is sooooo coool... I love it I love it I love it!!

so on the knitting front, I sent out my ISE scarf, with two skeins of yarn and a chocolate bar, of course i was so distracted (brought the three little ones with me) that i forgot to include my cute little note i wrote her grr lol

I'm designing a poncho for my mother since i can't find a pattern i like at all.. im using gossamer from knit picks and its really pretty, im also making myself a lace shawl with the same yarn just a different color.

Now to the other stuff lol My daughter Eryka has tried out and made it into chorus, shes soo excited about that.. she is also running for president of the school, I guess the vote is friday 10-13.. so shes a little bit hiper today.. here is a photo of the hopefully new president!!

just stuff

so I got a job at toys r us last week.. and I just LOVE IT!!!!
its almost xmas time and I get a discount lol and with 4 kids thats a great thing lol

so heres someting fun about working at a toy store... I got to see the new TICKLE ME ELMO!! before anyone else lol it comes out tomorrow, and if any of you have kids that had the first tickle me elmo ten years ago... this one is 10 times better!! lol I just love it love it love it.. he even throws himself down and kicks his feet lmao you just gotta see him lol

so I have about 35 more rows on my shawl left to do, my mother fell in love with it so it will become hers lol.. I started on the scarf for the internationl scarf exchange, about half done and I just love it.. its done in cascade highland peruvian wool, the yarn has flecks of color in it but it doesnt show unless you have it really close to your face (its really subtle) I like it a lot and I hope my pal will as well :)

so I'm on a shawl kick, here is another one that I am working on, pattern from elann, can't remember the name. im halfway done with it and doing it in knitpicks palette, of course i bought the sampler thing so i only have one ball of each color, so it will be grey, light grey, white.. so far i'm liking it and its keeping me busy while i wait to get the yarn for the internationl scarf exchange scarf im making :)

xmas stuff

so I'm starting xmas stuff so that I will have them finished in time lol here is a shawl i crocheted, pattern was from elann, i love it!!! so quick and since my sister likes funky stuff, i was able to just use all my yarn leftovers. making another one all in a burgandy color, should be finished this weekend

Knit and stuff

so when we were shopping for homes.. I said "as long as I can put Mickey Mouse on my wall, I'm happy" so I finally got to do it!!!! Here is the unfinished product, I still need to outline it in black and put stars on the blue.. But I was very impressed with my husbands drawing skills LOL ( he had to draw it on the wall first LOL )

also I have decided that I HAD to knit something.. I was feeling too much like a milk cow LOL pumping constantly so I made time to knit yesterday.. Here is what I am working on. Not sure if I will make it a shawl or just a baby blanket for one of the other new babies arriving in my family this year.

Baby Bryce

well not alot of knitting going on here.. We had our new addition arrive on July 3rd at 3:56am weighing 7.2lbs. Bryce Allen Turner is his name :) He decided that he was going to get at big sister Eryka from the get go and be born on her 10th birthday!!! She was not too impressed at the begining, but now shes pretty happy about it and will not leave him alone!! lol anyways, here is a picture I took of him this morning

well I finally finished the hexegon skirt for my twin, just in time for our brithday bash this weekend.. I'm sure she will just love it because its just trippy looking lol here it is

of course all the girls are just in love with him, eryka and nikki had to get a pic together holding him... and then Jayda of course wasnt about to be left out of the baby holding session lol

well here is the newest addition to the family, Jami had her baby on friday 3-24,
7lbs 8oz, 19 1/4 inches long, born at 6p.m.

Long time no blog

Ya, I know, its been a long time...

News :) I am finally moving into a brand new house this weekend... And I am soooo excited!!!! I haven't been up to much else lately. I did start a pair of socks a couple of weeks ago, but those are on hold until I finish packing and unpacking.

Trysten turned 4 successfully today LOL MR. NO FEAR lived to see another year LOL, My twins baby will be here in a few weeks, and my twin and I will turn 30 in about 9 days LOL yippeeee..

As for my new addition, I will find out what we are having in a couple of weeks.
All this excitement, its no wonder I haven't been able to sleep lately!!
